Media translations
In the media field we work
particularly for communication and PR agencies, translating press releases,
social media posts, cookie and privacy messages and other web text, right
through to localising entire websites.
Another specialism is
subtitling. Not so much for TV producers, networks or broadcasters (they have
their own subtitlers), but for producers of corporate videos, animations,
webinars and online meetings, reports and internal presentations, such as a
CEO’s New Year message.
Subtitling is a separate
discipline because it involves more than just translation. The words must fit
on the screen but must also match the video. We always request the video,
because the voiceover text alone is not enough. We supply the final result as a
complete video or just as an SRT file, depending on the customer’s
requirements.
